This series centers around a system of simple forms drawn with simple rules to create balance on the edge of symmetry, without mirroring.

Each piece begins as a line drawing which is cut by hand to remove the empty space. They are mounted raised so they cast a shadow that becomes integral to the work, both aesthetically and symbolically.
